The right amount of food for your dog depends on several factors, including their metabolism, the type of food you’re feeding, their activity level, weight, age, and overall health.
This raw dog food calculator will give you a starting point.
- For a healthy dog, we recommend starting with the suggested amount at the bottom and adjusting as needed. If your dog is gaining or losing too much weight, you can modify the portion accordingly.
- Puppies require enough food to support their growth. Insufficient nutrition can stunt their development, so it’s better for them to carry a little extra weight while young rather than lack essential nutrients.
- Our feeding recommendations are based on your dog’s weight. For example, if Taco, a healthy adult dog, weighs 40 kg, we suggest feeding him 2% of his body weight daily. That means Taco should eat 800g per day.
Please keep in mind that these recommendations are meant as general guidelines—every dog is unique! Always monitor your dog’s condition and adjust as necessary.
